On Friday, June 26, 2015 the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that same-sex marriages are allowed in every U.S. State. At the time of the ruling 37 U.S. States already allowed same-sex marriages. In addition, the District of Columbia and Guam, the first territory, also allowed same-sex marriages prior to the ruling.
Basically, if any U.S. State does not allow same-sex marriages, then it would be considered unconstitutional. Don’t get me wrong in thinking that same-sex marriages didn’t happen without being allowed or legal before the ruling. A marriage is a union between two people before God. The issue is the legal rights for each spouse has in the marriage. Each State has its own laws so be sure to check with your local offices.
Same-Sex Love Songs
Same-sex marriages are unions between and man and a man and also a woman and a woman. Love is love no matter whom you love. In celebration of the ruling and LGBT community, see our list of same-sex love songs above. When we say love songs, we mean love songs. We are not talking break-up love, we are not talking loving someone you don’t have. We are talking loving someone for the rest of your life.
