wedding song lyrics pages

September 26th, 2008 | Rss Feed

Just to give you a brief update on the upgrades we are currently working on.  We’re updating all the lyrics pages to a different look, and now include a mp3 panel and sheet music links.  The Amazon panel will play a sample of the song.  This is just in case you forget how the song goes.  It also gives you the option to buy the song or album through Amazon.  Keep in mind that there is already a link to get the song on iTunes.  A sheet music link is also added so that if you have to peform the song for the wedding, you’ll have the option to buy the sheet music.

To see all in action, please go to the song Crazy Love by Brian McKnight.

We’ll let you know when we’re all done.  Have a great weekend.

free wedding website now 216 colors

September 21st, 2008 | Rss Feed

What a way to bring September 2008 to a close.  Earlier in the month, we converted all logins to secure and now another big update.  WeddingMuseum.com now offers free wedding websites available in 216 colors.  The colors are guaranteed 99% available on all browsers (like Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, etc..).  What’s really cool is that this feature is available to new and old websites.  Current bridal members can login to their control panel and choose any one of the new colors for their font or page background.  In another small upgrade, users now will receive the WYSIWYG theory on the textarea fields on their wedding websites.  The coding changed on the sites to make it easier on the person creating the wedding website.  Don’t worry, more updates to the wedding websites are planned for the future.  However, we’ll keep that in our bag of surprises for now.

Over this past weekend, we updated the sample wedding websites listed on the site.  We’ve included some of the new colors available in the page designs.  The bridal couples are allowed to select whatever color they want for the font and page color.  However, we always recommend having the font as the darker color for easier reading.

These next couple of weeks we’ll be working on some of the song pages.  We’ll update you more as projects are finalized.

wedding websites new look

September 15th, 2008 | Rss Feed

The contact forms were updated this weekend and are live.  Websites will no longer list emails unless you type them yourself into the textarea sections.

It’s hard to believe in an ever changing “to-do-list” that we have finally made it to something of significant upgrades to the wedding websites.  This week we will finalize an upgrade that will include the need to no longer enter “br” into comments sections to go to the next line.  In addition, we are increasing our number of colors from 16 to 216 for colors of your wedding websites.  Let me say it again…..216.  I will post a note here when complete but it will be complete by the end of the weekend if not before.

contact on wedding websites

September 11th, 2008 | Rss Feed

Our latest project brings up a privacy issue that has always bugged me.  If you want to be contacted through your wedding website, the only way to do so is listing your email address.  This is about to change.  We will have a “contact us” link on wedding websites.  The link will take visitors to a standard form to complete.  Once they complete the form, the owners of the wedding website-bride and groom-will receive the email.  This way, visitors will not see your email address unless you want the world to see it.  This feature will be for only those who complete their email address on their wedding website order/edit form.  It’s not a mandatory field.

We will be complete with this upgrade by the end of the weekend.  None of the site will be down during the upgrade.  If deems necessary, it will be down after 10pm pst Sunday.

Upgraded security complete

September 8th, 2008 | Rss Feed

We have been working with a website security company, Control Scan, to make all registration and login processes secure.  Now it’s complete!  You will now see that little gold lock and an address location starting with “https” on all secure web pages.  If you do not see those, you are not on a secure page.  However, all forms with sensitive information will be secure web pages.  However, keep in mind that we do not take credit card numbers and never have.  All purchases are done through our affiliate sites, like iTunes, Amazon, etc.

Some of the site was inaccessible during the weekend periodically.  Sorry about that.  We were working on the security upgrade.

We have made some changes for the better for the wedding website layout.  For example, commas are now removed and bride/groom’s names are used in the title of attendants.  More cool stuff to come by next weekend.
