A West Virginia band or musician provides original musical pieces for your wedding. A wedding band may consist of two people to seven people or more. a West Virginia band may include guitar players, piano or keyboard players, drummers, front and back-up singers, bassists, and so on. West Virginia musicians for weddings include vocalists, guitar players, pianists, harpists and so on. Disk jockeys are not included in this group as they do not provide original, or live, musical performances.

When searching for a West Virginia band or musician, we recommend seeing them in person or watch a video of their performace before signing a contract. Also, get a listing of the type of songs they perform. Make sure it is the type of music you want. If you are looking for musicians for background music, you may consider a string quartet or a single voacalist. Keep in mind that if you get married in a church, you may have constraints on the type of music you can have played. In adddition, you may also be held to using their pianist.

Finally, it usually doesn't matter if you are a Charleston bands, Huntington bands, Parkersburg bands, Wheeling bands, Morgantown bands or anywhere else in West Virginia. If you have a referral, please travel to them. A good referral is worth a few dollars in gas. Please don't disregard a band because they are not in your area. Just ask if they will come to you, or you can go to them. For more information about hiring a West Virginia band, please see below for wedding band articles.
