| WHO WE ARE |
Maggie is currently a freshman at Tarleton State University majoring in Communications. She enjoys singing, dancing, and hanging out with her friends and family. Tanner is active in the United States Navy stationed in Washington State. He loves cars, and enjoys returning to Texas to spend time with his friends and family. Despite the distance, Maggie and Tanner have persevered through almost 3 years together, and can't wait to start a chapter in their lives to share. |
| HOW WE MET |
Maggie and Tanner met through a mutual friend, Rebecca Bastek, outside of Fort Worth in White Settlement, Texas. Since then, our dear friend Becky has passed, but they thank her everyday for what she gave to the both of them. |
| THE PROPOSAL |
November 12, 2006: Tanner was on leave from the Navy for a quick trip home to Texas. Maggie, Tanner, and several others gathered at a friend's house. They were celebrating the return of Tanner, and another friend whom had returned to Iraq. Just as they made their toast, tanner turned to maggie, told her to set her glass down, got down on one knee and proposed. There wasn't a dry eye in the house. |
