| WHO WE ARE |
Stephanie is originally from Huntsville, Alabama. She is a recent graduate of The University of Alabama majoring in Dance. While at UA, Stephanie was an active member of Alabama Repertory Dance Theater, Dance Alabama, Kappa Alpha Theta sorority and Gamma Beta Phi. Before her days in Tuscaloosa, she was an apprentice with The Alabama Ballet in Birmingham, Alabama. She is currently teaching dance at the Alabama Youth Ballet and Ars Nova in Huntsville. She also works with the preschool at Willowbrook Baptist Church and performs seasonally with The Walt Disney Company in Orlando, Florida. Stephanie is so excited about sharing this exciting time with family and friends!
Greg is also from Huntsville, Alabama where he graduated from Lee High School in 2004. He recently completed his sophomore year at The University of Alabama. He loves UA, fishing and of course Alabama Football. During off season Greg works in Huntsville and enjoys spending time with family, friends and his puppy, Maddie. |
| HOW WE MET |
It's hard to believe that we started dating four years ago. Greg and I met in the fall of 2001. We went to the Ice Plex in Huntsville one Friday night with a group of friends. We continued to keep in touch that year, even though Greg was in Huntsville and I was living in Birmingham. Our first date was during the summer of 2002. We ate with a group of friends at Ruby Tuesdays and went to the movies. We officially became a couple New Year's Eve 2002. The rest is history..... |
| THE PROPOSAL |
January 5, 2006
Greg took me out to dinner at Surin in Huntsville. I was so excited because it is our favorite restraunt and I hadn't gotten to see him very much over the break. We had a great dinner and we headed back to the car to go back to his house. When we were pulling out of the parking space he decided he couldn't wait any longer and said "I really have something to ask you...we have to pull over." At this point, I had no idea what was going on. He looked very nervous, but I just thought he was sick because we had eaten so much food! So we pull over and I started looking around the car trying to find something (just in case he got sick) and I look up and he had the ring box open. I think both of us were completely silent for a good while before Greg finally said "I really have something to ask you..." He proposed, I said "yes!!!!" and we called our families. I love that he caught me so off gaurd...it was perfect. |
