| WHO WE ARE |
Rasheed is an accountant at Virchow Krause in Oakbrook, IL. He is a graduate from St. Francis Univeristy in Joliet, IL. He loves playing/watching any sport and most movies.
Ocea is a consultant for Diamond Management and Technology Consultants in Chicago, IL. She is a graduate from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. She loves spending time with her family, leading her church youth ministry and working on her business plan for a homelessness and poverty prevention non-profit. |
| HOW WE MET |
Rasheed and Ocea met at Americall Telemarketing company in Summer 2003. Ocea had been working as a supervisor there for about 2 years. Rasheed started working there that summer for quick cash during his college summer break. Rasheed approached Ocea in the parking lot one day after work and asked for her number. She gave him her number and the chemistry began... |
| THE PROPOSAL |
Rasheed proposed at a Seafood and Steak restaurant in Tinley Park called 94 West. We pulled up to the restaurant he opened my car door we proceeded inside an elegant dining room, with a few couples dinning. Like always we selected a booth in the corner and after being seated we conversed and soon ordered food. During the food preparation period, the text message alert sounds on my phone with a text from Rasheed, stating at 4:46 pm “I HAVE A QUESTION”. As I began to text back he came over kneeled down on one knee opened a Helzberg engagement ring box with a beautiful 1.75 ct vintage/art deco ring looking up with his big brown eyes and said “I really love you and want to spend the rest of my life with you.. Will you marry me?” I said YES! |
