| Who we are now? | | Matt and I bought a house in Bloomington Minnesota in March of 2006. Thanks to our families for all of their hard work it looks beautiful! Matt and I are both teaching physical education in elementary schools in Bloomington. We actually both applied for the same job, and we were the last two candidates and they offered us both positions! We feel very lucky for how everything has worked out! We also love that we live to close to our families, even though the Marcella's still think it's too far! We are in the middle of planning our wedding, and we can't believe how much there is to plan! Other than that we are happy and healthy and excited to share our special day with you! |
| How we met? |
| Matt and I met our freshman year of college. We both lived in the same dorm. I thought Matt was two different people, one I saw on campus, and one who I saw at the arena. So I thought college was great! Then I found out it was the same guy so I had a crush on him, but we didn't really know each other. My friends told me to move on, but I knew there was something about him that was worth waiting for. I even went as far after one of my hockey games to show my parents a picture of Matt that was hanging in the arena and said "That's the man I'm going to marry!" Then one night a bunch of mutual friends were hanging out in my dorm room and we just kept talking. We have been together ever since. |
| The proposal? | | Matt was with the Marcella family for Christmas Eve for the first time. We had a fun night opening presents and playing cards. Christmas morning came and Matt was up bright and early. I wasn't sure what was going on, I just thought he was ready to go. Then he asked me to get ready (since he thinks it's takes me a long time) He then said he thought Santa left me a gift upstairs. So we walked upstairs and there was a big present sitting there for me! It was a robe from my mother, which I was pretty excited about. Matt then said, come upstairs, so he brought me to the Christmas tree and knelt down to grap something. It was a small box, I then felt my heart drop. He said some of the nicest things, and gave me the most beautiful ring. |
