| WHO WE ARE |
Mercedes graduated from Kaplan University November of 2009 with her Associates Degree in Criminal Justice and is currently working at John Deere/Security. Kyle is working at Lowes and coaches the local varsity football team. He is currently going back to school at Upper Iowa University for his BA in Teaching. |
| HOW WE MET |
Kyle and I met out Sophomore year in high school. We had a foods class together and were paired up into a group. Kyle's task was to cut up apples for a pie and when I saw him "not doing it right" I made fun of him and told him that I'll do it. This started the talking and its been the same since...me making fun of him and always fixing his "mistakes" since I am so picky :) |
| THE PROPOSAL |
We were just sitting around the house one Sunday, watching football and cleaning. I was watching the game while Kyle did some laundry downstairs. Kyle started to yell for me to come downstairs; to just hurry. I yelled back to him if there was a spider or a big bug downstairs. He said again, "JUST HURRY, COME HERE." So I made my way downstairs, very slowly in case there really was a spider or bug. I poked my head around the wall and there was Kyle on his knee with the ring in his hand... "Will you marry me?" :] |
