| HOW WE MET |
Guy and Becca met while in school for massage therapy. They became friends first. Guy had been through a pretty bad break-up and wasn't interested in anything happening with anyone for quite some time, if ever again. Then Becca had some car problems. Guy had been a mechanic previously, and was naturally intrigued. Before two weeks were over five cars had died on her for different reasons, and no one would let her touch their car. Guy couldn't help offering his services. Then one night they went out after class and both realized that there was something more than friendship between them. The following weeks were full of denial and confusion, but ended up with them together, and rarely to be apart again. |
| THE PROPOSAL |
One perfect fall day, Guy walked Becca down to his grandmothers pond, where they have spent many of their summer days relaxing. They took a nice walk through the trees and back around the pond. Guy stopped Becca under a willow tree and, while leaves fell gently to the ground, he and gave her a hug and asked her to be his wife. When she finally stopped hugging and kissing him, they went back to his parents house, where a family dinner was being held and announced their engagement. To their delight, Guy's grandmother informed them that it would have been her 67th wedding anniversary that same day. |
