| Who we are now? | | Jay is living in Alexandria, Louisana. He took a district managers job with SYSCO in July 07. I just left a position with the University of Southern Miss and I am now working with the MS Department of Rehabiliation. I am the State Coordinator for Deafblind Services. It has been tough dating long distance. However, I feel it has brought us closure together in a lot of ways. So that 3 1/2 hour drive is worth it. It has taken some time to get use to it. |
| How we met? |
| Jay and I met through work. He was my SYSCO guy. We started talking and found out we had a mutual friend. |
| The proposal? | | Well Jay is a cut to the chase type of guy. I like that. He gets straight to the point. Jay and I had never really talked that much about marriage. I use to joke with him and ask if he was going to give me a front row invitation to his wedding. I guess he has. The way he proposed was he got up early with me about 4 am Monday March 3,2008. I was getting ready to head back to MS from Alexandria. I was putting my make up on and he came to the doorway, stood there talked for a second, walked away came back and out of the blue said "So you want to get married?" I looked at him and said, "Are you serious?" and Jay said uh....Yeah! I said ok. He just handed me the ring and I said you have to put it on my finger. |
