The world says they'll never make it, love says they will.. Two Sparrows In A Hurricane - Tanya Tucker
| Who we are now? | | We have been through a lot together, including: illness, accidents (Emily's broken elbow, Georg's stitches), living with each other's families, just to name a few. There really have been some difficult obstacles we have overcome. We have also done a lot of traveling. We have been to Prague, Strasbourg France, the Bahamas, Stockholm, Ireland, Venice, Denmark, Niagra Falls, Toronto, and all over the United States including Key West and the Everglades. After so many adventures together, we are looking forward to moving in together again after the wedding, as we now live 110 miles away from each other! |
| How we met? |
| We met in Erlangen, Germany in the student bar below Georg's dorm. We had a mutual friend from Ireland, who told Georg about me. He then came over to talk to me because he wanted to learn "English." A few weeks later, we found out that we both play clarinet and his first visit to my room was to see my "American Clarinet!" For the record, there is a difference between the German clarinet and the other kind, and this was a completly innocent visit. |
| The proposal? | | Georg proposed after we picked up his classic car from the registration office. We then drove to this beautiful location near where he lives. It was absolutely beautiful. I had no idea the proposal was coming. We listened to our song a few times, and then he popped the question. I didn't believe him at first, but then he pulled out the ring. It was wonderful. |
