We are now two college graduates working hard doing what we love to do. I am currently a teacher and Elliott is a business man.

| HOW WE MET |
This is somewhat of an interesting story. Elliott and I are actually both from Baltimore, MD. We had a lot of the same mutual friends back in high school, but we did not really know one another. He actually dated someone who went to my high school and he remembers seeing me there a couple of times. God must have had plans for us because not only did He lead us to the same college, but he also led us to join brother and sister fraternal organizations. Through the constitutional bond that exists between Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. and Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., we officially met and the rest is history... |
| THE PROPOSAL |
On September 22, 2006, Elliott woke me up at 12am saying that he had something for me. Initially I was annoyed because it was early in the morning and I had to get up early for work on the next morning. I was not happy at all about getting out of the bed. Eventually, I did get up, but by then he had an attitude with me because I had been so mean and grouchy. He handed me a pamphley from Kay Jewelers and walked out the door. I followed him into the living room where he was standing with the ring box. :-) I was skeptical about opening the box because earlier that week, he had given me an empty ring box...but this time, it wasn't empty! |
