| How we met? |
| We met while in Uni. Sartaj and I had mutual friends and after meeting one another a number of times and knew there was something special. |
| The proposal? | Sartaj and I walked down to a little stream surrounded by beautiful greenery and ferns. The weather was perfect; the stream was beautiful…it was a gorgeous setting. I had a feeling what might be about to happen so I started giggling and then Sartaj started giggling. I realised I had to calm down a bit so I changed the subject and started to act a bit more serious. I went to look a bit more at the stream and looked at Sartaj, his back was facing me but I could tell he had a big smile on his face. I went up and wrapped my arms around his waist and he moved my hand away from his pocket….at this point I was pretty sure my feeling that he might ask me was looking accurate. Then he hugged me from behind and asked in my ear if I would marry him. I said “Of course!” He tried to slip the gorgeous ring on my finger but it wouldn’t slide on easily so I squeezed it on. We then stood there for quite sometime talking and I was crying a little because I was so happy. It was such a beautiful moment; none else was around so we were able to just enjoy each other and the moment.
