WeddingMuseum features wedding websites, song suggestions, vendor listings and many other interactive wedding planning ideas and tools. As the Internet changes, we realize our need to change with it. WeddingMuseum is in a constant change for the better good of all wedding planners and wedding vendors alike.

Social Media Journalist
Location: Las Vegas Type: Part-time Salary: $50-$75/week DOE
We are looking for the right person to create wedding planning posts to our Twitter and Facebook accounts. In addition, the candidate will post weekly articles to our wedding planning blog. This is a newly created position within our company and will be a considered as an independent contractor.
The Social Media Journalist will be responsible for growing our online presence through Facebook, Twitter, Blogging as well as investigating other media outlets that may be beneficial. The ideal person will need to be innovative, passionate about wedding planning, extremely creative and have the ability to work independently. Ideal Candidate:
- Must have previous blogging and social media posting experience.
- Must be creative, critical and an analytical thinker. You must possess stellar communication skills especially in the written form.
- Have extensive knowledge and/or experience in online communications utilizing mediums such as, Facebook, Twitter, and Blogs for marketing purposes.
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision, but know when to ask for help to get the job done.
- Must possess and understand what should be or are the “best practices” for creating, establishing and maintaining a corporation’s professional online social media content and web marketing presence.
- Must possess excellent organization skills.
- Must have the ability to meet deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Goals include increasing fans on Facebook and Twitter and increasing traffic to our blog.
- Create, develop and maintain content for our Facebook and Twitter accounts by posting wedding related posts Monday through Friday.
- Write and update wedding planning blog entries twice weekly. Articles can be wedding planning ideas, Las Vegas wedding business reviews or other wedding related topics. Articles must be concise yet creative with word count between 350-500.
- Generate original content for social sites and blog.
- Act as the voice of our social networks by providing relevant and interesting content.
- Increase the number of followers/fans to our accounts through online outreach and interesting content.
- Ensure that all materials developed as part of any project promote a consistent and positive image of WeddingMuseum LLC .
- Monitor competitive websites to ensure relevancy of our position in our market.
